Movie reach $100 million

The advance sales for Taylor Swift's concert movie reach $100 million globally.

Now shattering records in theaters, Taylor Swift's record-breaking Eras Tour. According to a Variety story, tickets for the upcoming concert movie Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour have now sold for more than $100 million globally.

Swift's performance movie is being viewed on more than 8,500 screens in more than 100 nations. The news site received confirmation from AMC Theatres, the movie's official global distributor, that these profits came from all showtimes and circuits where it is now showing, including Pakistan.

Earlier, the movie exceeded expectations by shattering AMC Theatres' all-time single-day ticket sales record with sales totaling $26 million in North America. With sales of $16.9 million, Marvel's Spider-man: No Way Home previously held the record.

Only five movies in 2023 have achieved this feat: Barbie, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. It is also anticipated that the movie will surpass $100 million in sales just in North America during its opening weekend.

In contrast, the movie has also shattered the domestic pre-sale records for Cinemark theaters, "with more than 10 times higher pre-sales than any other cinema engagement event," according to a press statement from the North American chain.

Released on October 13, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour will be shown in Pakistan's major cities at Cinepax Theatres.
